LEARNING OUTCOMES

The Erasmus Maris learning outcomes are designed to engage students in a comprehensive exploration of microplastic pollution and its environmental impacts. Aligned with Bloom's Taxonomy, our educational objectives encompass various levels of cognitive skills, ensuring a holistic and enriching learning experience for all participants.

A- Remember

B- Understand

  • Recall the definition of microplastics
  • List different types of microplastics commonly found in aquatic environments.
  • Name two categories of sampling used to collect microplastic samples in aquatic environments.

C- Apply

  • Collaborate with other pupils to apply sampling protocol to collect microplastic samples in different aquatic environments.
  • Use scientific equipment to measure abiotic factors in marine ecosystems.
  • Apply Erasmus Maris protocol for the analysis of environmental samples

E- Synthetise and evaluate

  • Assess the environmental impact of microplastic pollution based on the data collected.
  • Reflect on personal experiences during nautical activities and their relevance to understanding marine ecosystems and environmental conservation efforts
  • Describe how microplastics enter aquatic environments
  • Identify strategies for mitigating microplastic pollution
  • Give examples of abiotic factors relevant to marine ecosystems

D- Analyse

  • Collaborate with other pupils to apply sampling protocol to collect microplastic samples in different aquatic environments.
  • Use scientific equipment to measure abiotic factors in marine ecosystems.
  • Apply Erasmus Maris protocol for the analysis of environmental samples
